What is Sol Rain

Sol Rain is a community faucet that sends small amounts of SOL to people who need it to pay Solana network fees. It is funded by creator fees of the $RAIN meme token on pump.fun — only fees that have actually arrived on-chain are ever spent.

How to claim

  1. Copy your public Solana address from your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack…).
  2. Paste it on the claim page and pass the human check.
  3. Press Claim free SOL. You'll see each step live, and a Solana Explorer link once it's confirmed.

Eligibility & limits

  • 1 successful drop per wallet every 24 hours (rolling window).
  • Up to 3 attempts per wallet per hour, and fair-use limits per network.
  • Global caps: 100 drops per hour, 1,000 per day — so the pool lasts.
  • A new wallet or a low balance alone is never a reason to reject you.

How much you get

The drop is 0.00125 SOL. Why not a round $0.10? Solana keeps every account at a minimum balance of 0.00065 SOL ("rent"): a smaller transfer to an empty wallet simply fails. So the drop first covers that minimum and leaves ~120 network fees (0.000005 SOL each) on top. Wallets that already hold the minimum get all of it as gas.

Where the money comes from

Every $RAIN trade pays a creator fee. When fees are received and confirmed, they're split automatically:

  • 70% Faucet pool — drops for you.
  • 20% Operations — servers, RPC, audits.
  • 10% Reserve — multisig, for emergencies only.

Accrued fees that haven't been received yet are never shown as available money.

Verify on-chain

All wallets are public on the dashboard. Our internal ledger is append-only and reconciled with the chain; if numbers ever disagree, payouts stop automatically until a human checks.

Anti-bot & privacy

To keep the pool for real people we use a human check, rate limits and on-chain heuristics. We collect the minimum data needed, keep it for a limited time, and never show internal risk signals publicly. We can't guarantee one-person-one-drop, and we don't pretend to.

Reviews & appeals

Some claims go to manual review. Your daily limit is held, not used. If you think a decision is wrong, open an appeal with your claim ID — a human will look at it.

Public API

Read-only endpoints are open and rate-limited. Amounts are lamports serialized as strings.

GET /api/v1/faucet/status GET /api/v1/faucet/stats POST /api/v1/claims { walletAddress, captchaToken, idempotencyKey } GET /api/v1/claims/:id GET /api/v1/wallets/:address/eligibility GET /api/v1/treasury/stats GET /api/v1/treasury/transactions

Rules

One person, one wallet, one drop a day. Automating claims, farming with many wallets or abusing the API leads to blocks. Blocks can be appealed.

Privacy policy

We store your public address, claim history and short-lived anti-abuse signals (e.g. hashed network data). No accounts, no emails required.
